Facebook шукає стажерів-дослідників у сфері конфіденційності та використання даних, які допоможуть розширити практику дослідження за допомогою творчих, але строгих якісних, кількісних та / або дизайнерських методів дослідження. Потрібно бути студентом магістратури або аспірантури у сферах, пов’язаних з поведінкою людини: взаємодія людини і комп’ютера, психологія, соціологія, комунікація, антропологія, інформатика, інформатика або політологія.
UX Researcher Intern, Privacy & Data Use Responsibilities
- Orchestrate strategic visioning and analytical activity, moving between macro trends and micro trends in privacy and data use, and developing substantiated point of views
- Work closely with product teams, as well as other researchers, to identify important research questions
- Act as a thought leader in research, while advocating for people who use our products
- Generate insights that shape how product teams think about medium and long-term product strategy
- Design and execute studies that address both user behavior and attitudes, using the right methodology for the right questions
- Work cross-functionally with design, product management, data science, content strategy, engineering, and marketing
- Communicate insights in creative and compelling ways
- Identify opportunities to constantly improve the quality of thinking applied to privacy and data use insights
- Comfort with utilizing data to define and support hypotheses
Minimum Qualifications
- In process of obtaining a PhD or Masters in a human behavior-related field, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Anthropology, Information Science, Computer Science, or Political Science
- Experience conducting research
- Knowledge of research methods in at least one subset of methods (e.g., survey design and quantitative data analysis, ethnography) – qualitative and/or quantitative research
- Experience conveying research findings and implications to audiences
- Analytical, project management, and problem-solving experience
- Experience with autonomy and independent decision making to weigh tradeoffs and balance demands
- Experience mentoring other researchers and maintain our team’s standard of work
- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with research regarding privacy and/or data use
- Experience publishing academic research on privacy and/or data use
- Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
