The CoE Talent Development (TD) designs and deploys state of the art global policies, processes and tools to support the organizational growth and capability building. It ensures the DSM talent pipeline is rich of global, diverse talents, consequently strengthening the DSM strategy, profitability and competitive advantage. It works closely with regions, functions and BGs to provide integrated talent development solutions across the enterprise. The CoE TD is the primary partner for HR in the Business, in setting global TD priorities and designing integrated solutions for them. The CoE TD is the strategic driver of high-quality processes, guidelines and priorities of Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development for the future.
This is a 6-9 month internship starting in September or October 2020 in the CoE Talent Development, part of the central People and Organization function. You will primarily contribute to the Talent Management Team, but will also collaborate with our colleagues from Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development as well as P&O Business Partners to experience the full P&O cycle. As Talent Development intern you will influence, support and own initiatives around key projects that aim to improve our employee experience.
As we are moving towards our “next normal” due to Covid-19, the internship will take place mostly remote with possibly occasional travel to our global headquarters in Heerlen, the Netherlands.
Description of Ideal Candidate:
- We are looking for a Master student in Human Resources or similar studies.
- Someone who is a truly committed project member with a powerful can-do mentality and an affinity with talent development.
- A curious and creative mind with strong communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required.

Internship Summary
The key responsibilities in this internship will include:
- Support the implementation of a new digital talent platform by proposing and implementing innovative solutions to foster change and create shifts in mindset among our employees and managers.
- Support the implementation of DSM’s new Performance Management process with focus on communication and change management
- Co-create an “Employee Centricity” learning journey for our P&O colleagues in DSM
- Support with the creation of a refreshed people manager journey.
- Participate in other challenging projects both within and outside of the CoE TD during your internship to enhance your learning.
