Topic: international and local youth projects.

Tasks include:

Assisting in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the international youth project “Eurocamp”;
Supporting in the organisation of the Intercultural Week, Rathausfest, Sachsen-Anhalt-Tag and other local projects;
Assisting in the planning and implementation of events in One-World Hause;
Organising and implementing the “Language café” twice a month;
Organising and implementing an event during Europe Week;
Visiting events as a representative of AGSA;
Designing flyers, posters etc.
General office activities;
Organising and implementing own project ideas;
Further tasks depending on the previous experience / personal focus of the volunteer.

Topic: integration, culture and education

Project Dates: October 2019 – September 2020

Tasks include:

supporting intercultural and education events for teenagers in the One-World House and other places in Magdeburg,
design a multilingual online newspaper with youngsters from Zaporozhe and Magdeburg,
organizing dancing and theatre studios for children,
support the multilingual work at the web page of the organization arrange exhibitions
create publications, leaflets and more,
visiting events as a representative of Meridian and AGSA,
as Meridian is a member organisation of AGSA, the volunteer also has the chance to support the organisation of international youth project “Eurocamp” and participate there as a Trainer.

Organisation: Offener Kanal Magdeburg e.V.

Topic: Media- and video production

Tasks include:

Assisting in the production of various programmes and films, particularly in the areas of script development, camerawork and video-editing and production;
Recording live events, such as concerts, theatre plays, debates, etc;
Assisting the production of the intercultural youth magazine Jugendstil;
Preforming general organizational tasks (technical work, archiving, programming, etc.);
Assisting in video workshops in schools and youth centers.

Topic: international and local youth projects

Tasks include:

cooperationin the preparation, implementation and follow-up of international youth projects,
participation in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of youth education projects for young people from Germany,
planning and implementation of events in the multi-generation house sector,
visiting events as a representative ofthe European Youth Education Center,
designingflyers, posters etc.,
if necessary, mentoringshort-term volunteers of the youth education center
general office activities
further tasks depending on the previous experience / personal focus of the volunteers.

Topic: education, children and youth work

Tasks include:

assist in leisure activities for children and adolescents
develop and createoffers for children and youngsters
assist in the integration of socially disadvantaged children and adolescents into existing social structures
assist in the integration of young people with and without Migration background to the new home.
