The Kule Centre for Ukrainian and Canadian Folklore в Університеті Альберти із задоволенням оголошує про стипендію пост-докторської освіти в галузі цифрової архівації та цифрової етнографії на 2019-2020 рік.

Незважаючи на те, що будуть розглянуті всі заявки, пов’язані зі сферою цифрового архівування та цифрової етнографії, ообливої уваги заслуговують дослідницькі пропозиції з теми досліджень в області ідентичності, націоналізму, регіонів, кордонів, соціальних цінностей, історичної політики та пам’яті, змін і конфліктів.

Обов’язки
The successful candidate will be working as a part of the Kule Folklore Centre team creating the Local Culture Research Archive of some 2000 interviews about everyday life of Prairie Canadians (Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta). In addition to working on the digital archiving project, the Kule Post-Doctoral Fellow will be expected to assist and participate in the overall program planning and activities of the Kule Folklore Centre.

- Applicants must have received a PhD (or Candidate of Sciences degree from Ukraine or another post-Soviet country) within the past four years at the time of application. Applicants who are scheduled to receive their degree by the end of June 2019 are also eligible to apply, if they submit confirmatory documents.
- The successful applicant will be expected to take up the post-doctoral appointment at the Kule Folklore Centre from 1 September 2019, but no later than 30 September 2019.
- The applicants must be fluent in Ukrainian language. Knowledge of Ukrainian vernacular culture and folklore is an asset. This competition is open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, and foreign nationals.
Фінансові умови
The post-doctoral position will be accorded salary and benefits in accordance with experience and policies for post-doctoral fellows at the University of Alberta. The annual stipend is C$38,000. In addition to the stipend, the award includes economy airfare to and from Edmonton, and supplemental health benefits. An additional C$2,000 is available for research-related expenses.
The Kule Post-Doctoral Fellowship is funded by Peter and Doris Kule Fellowship endowment.
